Sindh re-conducts MDCAT 2024 under high security

KARACHI: In a recent development, The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 is being conducted again today across Sindh under tight security measures.

According to information, more than 38,000 students are retaking the MDCAT in 2024. The three-and-a-half-hour test is scheduled at a number of locations, including the University of Karachi and NED University in Karachi.

These include Sukkur, Karachi, Jamshoro, Larkana, Nawabshah and Hyderabad. The spokesperson said that 38,683 candidates will appear in today’s test. Out of these 5,586 candidates will take the test in Sukkur Public School, 4,802 in Larkana Police Training Center, 6,400 in Karachi’s NED University, and 6,449 in the University of Karachi.

Moreover, 6,254 candidates will take the test at Mehran University in Jamshoro and 2,786 candidates will take the test at Quaid-e-Awam University in Nawabshah.

The students have to answer 200 multiple-choice questions, according to IBA Sukkur, who was entrusted with setting up the retest in accordance with court orders.

MDCAT Re-Take Entry Points

To facilitate students, many entry points have been created including Metroville Gate, Maskan Gate, and Shaikh Zaid are the entrances to Karachi University, IBA Public School Sukkur: The third gate, Gate number two at Jamshoro Mehran University, Public school in Hyderabad Latif Abad: the main entrance, School for Police Training Larkana: Police Training School’s main gate.

Candidates have been instructed by the testing authorities not to bring any electronic devices, including smartphones or smart watches.

Along with one of the following original documents, which is required for verification, candidates are also instructed to carry their original Admit Slip to the testing locations.

Guidelines for Students

The students are instructed to bring their CNIC, juvenile card, passport, matriculation mark sheet, and intermediate mark sheet, blue or black pens.

Additionally, bringing any type of device into the examination center is strictly prohibited whereas a heavy fine or a cheating case can be filed against the applicant if they don’t abide by the rules.
