Winter holidays extended: Schools to reopen from THIS date

ISLAMABAD: Classes will resume in schools in Azad Kashmir from January 6 after authorities extended the winter vacations.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Department AJK announced the extension of the winter vacations amid cold weather conditions in the region. A notification shared by the department said that schools in the region will remain closed till Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The extension applies to both government and private educational institutions. The decision comes in response to the ongoing cold weather and is aimed at ensuring the safety of young learners.

The authorities urged parents and students to stay informed about any further updates regarding the school schedule.

Winter Holidays Latest Update

The Sindh Education Department had earlier announced that schools will reopen on January 1, 2025, after the winter vacations from December 21 to December 31.

Winter vacations in Punjab will continue till January 12 and classes will begin from Monday, January 13.
