Election 2024: PML-N candidate wins PK-40 after recounting

The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) candidate was proclaimed victorious in the recount of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Constituency PK-40 Mansehra.

After recounting votes at 173 polling places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Constituency PK 40 Mansehra, PML-N candidate Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf was pronounced successful once more.

Sardar Shahjahan Yousuf received 43,014 votes in the recount conducted at 173 polling places in the seat, whereas independent candidate Shakoor Laghmani, who was sponsored by the PTI, received 42,918 votes. But following the recount, Election Commission representatives also released Form 47 of PK 40.

Recall that independent candidate Shakoor Laghmani, supported by the PTI, had asked for a recount after expressing uncertainty over the outcome of PK 40 Mansehra.
The winners of the 36 National Assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have previously been formally confirmed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The elected candidates have been told to affiliate with a political party of their choice within the next three days, according to a notification issued by the ECP.

Sibghatullah from NA-4 Upper Dir, Gohar Ali Khan from NA-10 Buner, and Umar Ayub from NA-18 Haripur are among the recently proclaimed winners.
