ISLAMABAD: Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha on Thursday reaffirmed the state’s resolve for a decisive response, saying that Fitna al-Hindustan will not succeed in their terror objectives.
He made these remarks while addressing a joint presser with Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
The press conference came from the top security officials following a recent attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, resulting in eight casualties, including six school-going children.
Condemning the tragic terrorist incident, the Interior Secretary said that initial investigations point to the involvement of Fitna al-Hindustan [Balochistan Liberation Army] in the attack.
He stressed that the attack on Khuzdar was not just an act of terrorism, but a direct assault on Pakistan’s traditions and educational values.
“In the aftermath of the despicable terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar on the early morning of May 21, this cowardly attack targeted innocent children of our future, resulting in the tragic loss of six children and injuries to 31 others.
“On behalf of the government of Pakistan, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We share their grief and we stand by them in this hour of immense suffering. The Ministry of Interior, in close cooperation with the provincial authorities and the law enforcement agencies, is looking into all of this dastardly attack,” he added.
“Having miserably failed in the so-called Operation Sindoor, the terror proxies of Hindustan have been tasked to accentuate their heinous attacks of terrorism in Balochistan and elsewhere. Let me be clear here: the people of Pakistan will not let them succeed. Pakistan and its people, particularly in Balochistan, reject this nefarious design. The state has the capacity and the will to dismantle these networks and bring the preparators and their handlers to justice. Such actions will have consequences,” he noted while talking to media reporters.
“Much against the tradition and culture of the Baloch, these terrorists have stooped so low that innocent school children have now been targeted. I assure you that the State, in collaboration with the provincial governments and the state apparatus, will defeat them.
These Indian-sponsored terrorists have no place in Pakistan and our national discourse. We have … commitment to bring an end to this violence. Our resolve is firm, and our response will be decisive. They will not succeed.“
The military spokesperson, Lt Gen Shairf, said that Indian state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan has been ongoing since the inception of the country.
He told reporters that Pakistan had provided a dossier of irrefutable evidence of Indian-sponsored terrorism to the United Nations in 2015, and again in 2019.
“Very recently, the international media has seen self-giving confession and acknowledgement of multiple surrendered terrorists of this Fitna al Hindustan,” he added.
He said that the Pakistani government had also handed a dossier full of evidence to the then Indian prime minister in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt, in 2009.
Lt Gen stated that in 2016, the world saw another ugly face of India-sponsored terrorism when serving Indian naval official, Kulbushan Jadhav, was arrested in Balochistan.
He said that India had been involved in state-sponsored terrorism for the past 20 years, and this record was now being placed before the public.
He said that India’s provocation was the only factor contributing to the attack in Balochistan, and it had nothing to do with the Baloch identity.
The October 2024 attack on the Chinese envoy in Karachi was brought to light by the DG ISPR. “RAW-affiliated Indian social media accounts posted about the attack before the attack,” he claimed.
The same thing occurred with the Jaffar Express hijacking, he said. “They were saying, ‘Watch Pakistan today and tomorrow,’ before the Jaffer Express incident happened.
“They say ‘If we receive political, diplomatic and defence support from India’; They say ‘We assure India to attack the western border, BLA and the entire nation is ready to attack from the western border. We will become its India practical and military arm,” the DG said.
“Will we get deterred from the Fitna al Hindustan with such press releases and cowardly actions? Absolutely not. Never,” he said.
“This nexus and Fitna al Hindustan have no relation to the Baloch identity and Pakistan. They are related to them. They are their masters and perpetrators. This is the evil face of Fitna al Hindustan.”
The DGR ISPR further said: “We need to understand certain facts. Why did the Indians feel the need to do this military escalation? One of the very important reasons was that all elements of national power over the last two years have gelled together.”
