Ten militants killed, two female suicide bombers arrested in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 10 suspected militants and arrested two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan over the past 48 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the military’s media wing, security forces conducted joint search and targeted operations against militant groups described as Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Kharij in the districts of Sorab and Mastung.

The ISPR said seven militants were killed during an operation in Sorab, while three others were killed in a separate operation in Mastung.

The statement added that two female suicide bombers and an alleged facilitator linked to the group identified by authorities as Fitna-ul-Hindustan were apprehended during the Mastung operation.

Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the suspects.

According to the ISPR, follow-up search operations are continuing in the area to locate and apprehend any remaining militants and their facilitators.

The military’s media wing reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue operations against militant networks in line with the National Action Plan and the state’s commitment to eliminating militancy and maintaining peace and stability across the country.
