Excessive exercise may harm mental health, study finds

NEW YORK: A new study published in the renowned medical journal The Lancet Psychiatry has found that excessive exercise is not good for mental health.

The study has shown that exercise helps improve mental health and protect against depression, but its duration is of great importance.

The Department of Medicine at Yale University conducted a study during which the duration of exercise of more than 1.2 million people and the effects on the body and mind were examined.

The results showed that people who exercise for 45 minutes 3 to 5 times a week have a very low risk of depression and other mental illnesses, but people who exercise for 3 hours a day generally have the worst effects on their mental health.

Researchers have found that people who exercise a lot are at increased risk of mental health problems such as overeating, depression, or addiction.

Research has shown that there is a link between exercising more than 23 times a month, or for more than an hour and a half, and mental health problems
