Pakistan reports two new polio cases in THIS province!

Govt taking practical steps to eradicate polio disease from Pakistan: PM

PESHAWAR: Two new polio cases have been confirmed in Lakki Marwat and North Waziristan districts of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the National EOC, the total number of polio cases in Pakistan this year has reached 26. Polio is an incurable disease that can cause lifelong disabilities. All children under the age of five must be vaccinated during each campaign.

The National EOC said that a high-quality polio campaign is underway in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prevent the virus. These campaigns help protect children from this incurable disease. The polio campaign has started today in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bajaur and Upper Dir.

The National EOC added that more than 1.685 million children will be vaccinated during this week’s campaign. Parents are urged to ensure that all children under the age of five are vaccinated during each campaign.
