QUETTA: Thaterra Achakzai, the daughter of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, is in hot water as the University of Balochistan has issued an explanatory notice over an anti-state tweet.
Thaterra wrote in a post on the social media platform X on October 16 that Pakistan is a cheap version of Israel. She claimed that the hands of the Pakistani state are tied by the masters of the free world, i.e., the Western world.
Along with this, she also made other allegations against the state.
Pakistan is the Temu’s cheapest version of Isreal, a hypocrite and Barbaric state whose hands are chained by the grt masters of the free world, whose hands are covered with the bloods of millions of Innocent people i.e The Baloch, Pashtuns and the Afghans#AfghanistanPakistanWar

However, the controversy escalated when a notice was issued by the administration of the University of Balochistan a day later, on October 17.
According to the text of the show cause notice issued by the Assistant Registrar (General) of the University of Balochistan, she tweeted an anti-state narrative at 10:30 am on October 16.
According to the notice, this act is against the code of conduct and falls under the category of serious misconduct.
The notice states that this tweet may lead to disciplinary action against you as you have violated the instructions issued in 2022 and 2024.
The notice asks Thaterra Achakzai to submit a written explanatory statement within five days; otherwise, strict action will be initiated against her under the rules of the University of Balochistan.
The university’s registrar, Professor Tariq Jogezai, confirmed that a show-cause notice has been issued to the female lecturer.
A member of the university’s legal team said that if an employee is issued a show cause notice and refuses, an inquiry officer is appointed who can declare the violation guilty, after which the punishment is determined, and dismissal from service may also occur.
