HONIA: Anniqa Meraj, the first woman officially chosen to represent Pakistan at the prestigious Miss World Pakistan 2026, is set to make history by representing the country at the mega event.
Anniqa Meraj, 24, will participate in the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival in Vietnam, which will take place from August 9.
She is a Business Administration and Economics graduate currently pursuing a master’s in accounting and auditing, aiming to be a state-authorized public accountant.
She supports children’s rights and girls’ education and thalassemia awareness, aligning with beauty with a purpose.
At Lahore Faletti’s Hotel, she received the title from Dr Shafaq Akhtar, Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, and Attaullah Gujjar, Mr Pakistan World.
Pakistan is preparing for its first incredible appearance at Miss World.
Pakistani contestants have previously represented the country at other major global pageants. Erica Robin and Roma Riaz, for instance, have competed at Miss Universe.
Aneeka will mark Pakistani first ever official entry in the 73-year history of the Miss World pageant; she will compete in 75 anniversary edition in Vietnam.
Organizers have described Meraj’s participation in Vietnam as a landmark moment for Pakistan’s presence at Miss World.
