Kim Jong Un says North Korea does not want war but will not avoid it amid Iran tensions

Kim Jong Un

Kim Jong Un has spoken about the rising tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel.

According to North Korea’s state media, Kim Jong Un said his country does not want war. However, he added that North Korea has no intention of avoiding it if necessary.

The statement came during a gathering of military officers and government officials. Kim Jong Un addressed the meeting and warned Western countries, especially the United States.

He also referred to North Korea’s military strength during the speech. The leader suggested that strong defence is necessary in today’s world.

Kim Jong Un strongly criticised recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel. He described those actions as shameful and illegal aggression.

According to him, such attacks violate the sovereignty and national security of a country. He said every nation has the right to protect its territorial integrity.

The North Korean leader repeated that his country does not seek war. But Kim Jong Un said North Korea will not try to avoid conflict if its security is threatened.

Analysts believe the statement may also be linked to North Korea’s nuclear policy. Some experts say Kim Jong Un could be using the Middle East crisis to justify his country’s nuclear programme.

He further claimed that the world is moving according to what he called “gangster-style logic”. According to Kim Jong Un, only countries with strong power can remain safe in such a global environment.
