AJK ex-PM denies anti-Imran Khan statements, calls them fabricated

ISLAMABAD: Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister and senior PPP leader Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has strongly refuted all the statements circulating on social media attributed to his controversial remarks against the PTI founder, calling them “completely fake and fabricated”.

According to a private news channel, an official statement issued by his spokesperson Sardar Mashal Younis clarified that some AI-generated videos and doctored statements being circulated online are completely baseless.

The spokesperson stressed that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has not made any statement against any political party or leadership, including Imran Khan.

The clarification came in response to viral social media posts falsely quoting Tanveer Ilyas as claiming that he had “secrets about Imran Khan” that could damage his public image. These posts have now been declared fake, allegedly created using artificial intelligence tools.

The spokesperson further said that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas officially joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on June 24, 2025 and fully supported the party’s constitution, policy and values.

He reiterated Tanveer Ilyas’ commitment to democratic principles, political tolerance and ethics, rejecting all allegations as baseless and fabricated.

The spokesperson urged the public to refrain from sharing false content and verify facts before spreading misinformation.

The spokesperson also confirmed that legal teams have been activated and concrete evidence has been handed over to the Cyber Crime Department for immediate action against the perpetrators of the propaganda campaign.
