Another aircraft to be moved from Karachi to Hyderabad by road

KARACHI: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is shifting the defunct aircraft from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport to the Aviation Training Institute in Hyderabad. These aircraft will be used for training purposes.

The second defunct MD-83 aircraft, weighing 60 tonnes, will be shifted on Monday night. The aircraft will be moved in two parts via advance trailers via the National Highway and Gharo Thatta. The authorities have already issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for the move.

This follows the successful transfer of the second aircraft to the institute via the superhighway. Project Director Munir Alam confirmed that all arrangements are complete, reflecting PAA’s commitment to enhance training facilities and utilization of resources.
