ECC approves Rs1 crore for parliamentarians’ meals during budget session

ISLAMABAD: Member of National Assembly from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s  Shahida Akhtar Ali has introduced the Civil Servants Amendment Bill in the National Assembly Secretariat, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, the proposed legislation calls for increasing the upper age limit for candidates appearing in the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination to 35 years. It also suggests allowing each applicant up to five attempts at the competitive exam.

It is worth noting that the National Assembly had earlier passed a resolution supporting these changes, but the government has yet to act on its implementation.
