ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced an increase in the BISP quarterly installment.

The amount for this quarter has been increased from Rs 13,500 to Rs 14,500. This decision will benefit millions of registered women across the country.

According to officials, household expenses have increased due to the increase in inflation. That is why this step has been taken to provide financial assistance to deserving women.

It should be remembered that last year also the quarterly assistance was increased from Rs 10,500 to Rs 13,500. Now with the new amount, the government has provided more relief.

The BISP quarterly installment is an important part of the Benazir Income Support Program. This program was launched in 2008.

The initial aim of this project was to protect poor families from the effects of economic slowdown, food crisis and inflation. In the long term, its goal is to eradicate extreme poverty and empower women.

Officials have confirmed that the new BISP sponsorship quarterly installment will be provided to eligible women in the current disbursement phase.
