Brother of Acid Attack Victim Dr Mahnoor Nasir appeals for prayers and support

QUETTA: The brother of Dr Mahnoor Nasir, who was injured in an acid attack at Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta, has appealed to the public for prayers and support as the family copes with the aftermath of the incident.

In a message shared on social media, Farhat Khan described the attack on his sister as a deeply painful experience for the family.

“A very heartbreaking incident happened to my sister, Dr Mahnoor, while she was performing her duties in the surgery ward, during which acid was thrown on her,” he said.

Farhat Khan said the family was going through an extremely difficult time and requested people to remember Dr Mahnoor and her family in their prayers.

“It is very difficult to imagine the suffering that my family and I are going through at this time. I request everyone to stand with us in this difficult period. May Allah grant patience to us and to Dr Mahnoor’s parents,” he stated.

Dr Mahnoor was injured in the acid attack on Saturday while on duty at Sandeman Provincial Hospital. She is currently receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, where doctors have reported that her condition is stable and improving.
