RAWALPINDI: A case has been registered against former prime minister Imran Khan, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and others over the death of police constable Mubashir Hassan near the Hakla Interchange.
The FIR was lodged at Taxila Police Station on behalf of the police, mentioning that the attackers, armed with tear gas guns, rubber bullet guns, and other weapons, violated Section 144.
The FIR includes sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (Section 14) as well as provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The first information report further alleged that protestors launched violent assaults on police officers and personnel using sticks and stones. It also mentioned that the attack was orchestrated by the PTI leadership on behalf of party founder Imran Khan.

According to the FIR, the suspects injured Constable Mubashir Hassan and abducted him in a red van. Later, it was reported that the suspects dumped him under the Hakla Bridge before fleeing.
Constable Mubashir was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Other injured police personnel included Constables Adnan, Raiyas, and Naeem.
The interior ministry reported that four Rangers personnel also lost their lives in the “attack on Rangers and police personnel” on Srinagar Highway in Islamabad, state-run Radio Pakistan also reported the deaths of two cops. As per recent reports, four Rangers including five policemen were injured in the incident.
In response to the escalating situation, the Interior Minister announced the deployment of the Pakistan army under Article 245 of the constitution in the federal capital to maintain law and order, state-run Radio Pakistan reported
