Maryam Nawaz, the recently elected chief minister of Punjab, has given the competent officials until the end of December to finish the Rawalpindi Ring Road.
When she visited the project, she gave instructions to check on the status of the work. Representatives from the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) and NESPAK briefed the Chief Minister of Punjab.
The officials told Maryam Nawaz that 24% of the project’s work has already been finished and that the remaining 76% should be finished by February 2025.
It should be mentioned that the project calls for the building of eleven overpasses, five interchanges, two river bridges, six canals, and a railroad bridge. In addition, a rest space will be established and 15 subways and 53 tiny bridges will be constructed alongside the Rawalpindi Ring Road,

Maryam Nawaz underlined the project’s importance in raising public transportation users’ efficiency. She also outlined proposals to create industrial zones all along the path.

The Chief Minister went on to say that the project will give Rawalpindi citizens job chances. Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz gave the government instructions to rename the interchanges along the Rawalpindi Ring Road after their individual localities.
Former senator Pervaiz Rasheed, members of the Punjab Assembly Marriyum Aurangzeb, Uzma Bukhari, and Sania Ashiq, the chief secretary, concerned secretaries, the commissioner of the Rawalpindi Division, and other officials were also present with Chief Minister Punjab.
