Court cancels arrest warrants of CM KP Ali Amin

Petition filed to disqualify CM Ali Amin Gandapur in Peshawar High Court

ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad canceled the arrest warrant of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a case related to PTI’s ‘Haqiqi Azadi March’ on Monday.

Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan has issued the order and adjourned the hearing of the case against CM Gandapur till May 20.

Earlier, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur approached the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad to cancel the non-bailable arrest warrant in the long march and vandalism case.

It has been stated in the petition that Ali Amin Gandapur has ever deliberately avoided appearing in court.

Seeking an unconditional apology from the court, the KP Chief Minister requested the court to cancel his non-bailable arrest warrant.

Earlier, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) had ordered the federal government to provide details of the cases against Ali Amin Gandapur.
