LAHORE: A couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills over a domestic dispute in Lahore’s Shahdara area on Sunday.
According to the reports, the incident took place in Fazal Park in Shahdara. The couple’s condition deteriorated, and they were rushed to Mayo Hospital by Edhi ambulance, but they succumbed to their injuries.
Police have identified the deceased as 27-year-old Majid and his 25-year-old wife Jamila Bibi. After legal proceedings, Edhi volunteers shifted the bodies to the morgue.
Police suspect that the incident was the result of a domestic dispute. However, further investigation is underway based on the statements of the family members.
