GHOTKI: A 50-year-old female doctor brutally tortured a young man for refusing her marriage proposal in the Mirpur Mathelo area of the Ghotki district, Sindh.
After the incident went viral on social media, SSP Ghotki Samiullah Soomro took notice and ordered to register a case against the accused.
According to the first information report (FIR), the doctor, identified as Sehar, allegedly chopped off part of the man’s tongue and gouged his eyes.
The complainant, identified as Murtaza Ali Khoso, told police that “the doctor along with Salamat Kulwar, sweeper Mukhtiar Sheikh and Nadir Ali called him to their clinic and unconscious him before subjecting me to torture”.
On the other hand, the female doctor denied the allegation to the police and accused the young man of harassment and blackmail.
According to the police, the young man and the female doctor were friends. When the boy refused to marry, they came into a fight.
In her statement to the police, the female doctor said that after their friendship ended, the boy was constantly blackmailing and threatening her through pictures and videos.
SSP Ghotki said that action will be taken in light of the statements and evidence of both parties, adding that a case will also be registered at the request of the female doctor.
