Customs confiscates undeclared luxury vehicles valued Rs. 272 million

Govt cuts taxes on imported used vehicles, age limit removed

QUETTA: Quetta customs has carried out two major operations, seizing non-customs paid vehicles valued at Rs. 272 million against smuggling across Balochistan.

According to officials, the first operation resulted in the seizure of 19 high-value non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs. 122 million.

These vehicles were intercepted during a targeted enforcement action conducted by the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Quetta.

Furthermore, the Customs Mobile Squad, with support from FC 74 Wing, recovered another nine vehicles in Quetta.
The values of these undeclared vehicles is estimated at Rs.150 million. Officials said the raid was conducted following information regarding the presence of smuggled vehicles in the warehouse.

The Federal Board of Revenue has commended the customs teams for their response and reiterated that strict actions will continues to safeguard national revenue and illegal trade.
