RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reiterated the unwavering resolve of the Pakistan Army to defend the sovereignty of the country.
In a recent session with students and faculty members of various universities in Abbottabad, he stressed that any external aggression will be met with a befitting and decisive response by the armed forces.
During the interactive session, the DG ISPR discussed various topics including the recent Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, national security challenges and the ongoing fight against terrorism. He assured the audience that Pakistan has taken effective steps against the menace of terrorism and extremism, especially the forces creating instability in the region.
The session, which was attended by a large number of teachers and students, paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs and ex-servicemen, who were described as symbols of bravery and sacrifice.
Hazara University Vice Chancellor Dr. Ikramullah Khan praised the Pakistan Army, calling it a true embodiment of love for the country. He said that the Pakistan Army is always on the frontline and we stand with them in solidarity.
The discussion also focused on the increasing activities of hostile elements trying to mislead the younger generation.
The teachers stressed the importance of providing accurate and verified information to the students to counter these negative influences.
The students consequently expressed pride in being citizens of Pakistan and emphasized the important role of the Pakistan Army in guiding and developing the youth of the country.
A student said, “We are proud to live in a country where institutions like the Pakistan Army provide us with strength and guidance. The misinformation being spread on social media about the army has now been debunked, and we feel more informed than ever.”
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry’s answers to questions helped clear up confusion among students about the role of the armed forces in maintaining national and provincial affairs, as well as peace and security.
