DHA Islamabad flash flood

ISLAMABAD: The Search operation for a father and daughter who were swept away in a storm drain along with their car in the federal capital is still ongoing.

Police, housing society staff, Rescue 1122, and a diving team are engaged in a search operation to find the father and daughter, and helicopter help is also being sought to search for them.

Notably, this morning, a father and daughter riding in a car in Phase 5 of a private housing society were swept away in a storm drain.

The father and daughter, who were swept away in the drain along with their car, kept calling for help.

A video of the incident has also emerged in which the father and daughter are helpless inside the car, and the strong flow of water is sweeping away the car.

The person driving the car has been identified as retired Colonel Ishaq Qazi, who was riding in the car with his 25-year-old daughter.

Both father and daughter had gone out in a gray car when the car stopped due to rainwater accumulating on a nearby road. Ishaq Qazi was trying to start the car when the water flow increased.

Due to the increase in the water flow, both father and daughter were swept away in the rain drain.

Sources further said that Colonel retired Ishaq’s car did not have a tracker installed, his daughter was a doctor, and he used to drop his doctor daughter to the gate of the housing society every day.

Colonel retired Ishaq had left home this morning to drop his doctor daughter to the gate. The last location of Colonel Ishaq’s retired mobile was at 8:15 last night from his home.
