LAKKI MARWAT: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Gul Muhammad Khan along with his gunmen, was martyred in a terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat late Friday night, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police confirmed on Saturday.
DSP and his gunman Constable Naseem Gul were martyred when some unidentified militants targeted their police van near Manjiwala Chowk, while another policeman sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital.
According to details, DSP Gul Muhammad Khan and his gunman were critically wounded. They were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Norang where both of them embraced martyrdom during treatment.

Police immediately cordoned off the area after the incident and launched a search operation in the area to arrest the culprits.
The martyred police official Tariq Khan was on leave in his hometown Tapi in Miran Shah, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Rohanzeb Khan. “At around 5 pm today, gunmen on a motorbike opened fire, leaving police official dead on the spot,” DPO told. The body of the slain policeman was later shifted to the hospital for medical examination.
