Eidul Fitr 2026 in Pakistan expected dates? Complete holidays schedule

ISLAMABAD: As the holy month of Ramadan has started from 19th February 2026, Muslims in Pakistan are eagerly waiting for the dates of Eid al-Fitr.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a meeting under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad in the evening of 19th March 2026 or 29th Ramadan to sight the moon.

Eid-ul- Fitr 2026 Expected dates in Pakistan

If the holy month of Ramadan has 29 days, the first day of Shawal will be on March 20, 2026, and Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated from March 20 to 22.

However, if the holy month of Ramadan has 30 days, the first day of Shawal will be on March 21, 2026, and the Eid celebrations will continue till March 23.

The federal government has published the calendar for public holidays for the year 2026.

According to the calendar, the Eid al-Fitr holidays have been fixed on March 21, 22, and 23 (Saturday to Monday), subject to the sighting of the moon.

If the moon of Shawal is sighted on March 19, the Eid al-Fitr holidays in Pakistan are expected to be celebrated from March 20 to 22 (Friday to Sunday).
