Would you want this to happen to your daughter, wife, or sister? Can you safely send them out to Pakistan? I guarantee your daughters aren’t safe here.
Celebrating August 14 feels pointless when girls aren’t secure in this country. Yesterday, while I was waiting for my car near Ramada in the rain, three men attempted to kidnap me.
They harassed me, and despite my pleas, no one came to my aid. I fought back and ran, even though they had guns. A passing car and the Ramada staff rescued me.
How can I feel safe in a country where I am a taxpayer? I can’t even hire guards with that tax money. Now I understand why people keep guards and why many are moving abroad.
We need protection in Pakistan. I can proudly say I’m a Muslim, but can I say I’m a proud Pakistani? No!”
The social media sensation’s video had gone viral over social media, sparking outrage with many demanding strict policies and measures to ensure women’s safety in Pakistan.
