Federal Cabinet postpones approval of Hajj policy: Here’s why

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Tuesday once again postponed the approval of the Hajj policy.

As per the details, in today’s meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, agenda related to Jammu and Kashmir State Property Budget and approval of ECO Clean Energy Center was postponed.

The Cabinet approved 8 other agenda items, including the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee and the Cabinet Committee on Legislation.

The Prime Minister thanked all the political parties for supporting the twenty-sixth constitutional amendment.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the successful hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting.

Shahbaz Sharif expressed concern over the increasing cases of polio in the country. He directed the immediate formulation of a comprehensive anti-polio strategy and approved the Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Bill, 2024 to provide a legal framework to combat domestic violence and punish the perpetrators.
