Federal govt offices ordered to evacuate in Islamabad Red Zone?

Islamabad Red Zone offices evacuate

ISLAMABAD: Reports emerged that authorities have ordered federal government employees to evacuate offices in Islamabad’s Red Zone as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters reached D-Chowk despite the government’s efforts to stop them.

The news circulating on social media claimed that all officers and employees of the Federal Secretariat have been instructed to leave the offices immediately.

However, the federal government or Islamabad district administration has not issued any statement regarding the development.

One of the conveys of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protestors reached D-Chowk while the main convoy, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was still advancing towards its destination.

Videos of PTI workers climbing atop containers at D-Chowk went viral on social media. Army officials could be seen mingling with the party workers before retreating.
