Four died & 31 injured as speeding bus overturns in Kacchi

In a tragic incident, at least nine passengers were kidnapped from Quetta-Lahore passenger buses and killed in Zhob.

KACCHI: In a tragic incident, at least four people have died and 31 other injured when a speeding bus overturned on The National Highway in Haji Shaher area of Balochistan’s Kacchi district on Thursday.

“As soon as information was received that a Daewoo bus travelling from Sadiqabad to Quetta lost control due to high speed and overturned, Kachhi Levies, Highway Police, and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations.” Dr Jamshed Marri, the dispensary of Sibi Teaching Hospital, said while talking to the media.

The deceased were taken to the hospital, and four critically injured passengers have been shifted to Quetta for advanced treatment while the other were treated in the local hospital.

Dr Marri noted that the injured included the bus driver and the conductor.

The cause of the accident was the overspeeding of the bus by the driver. An investigation is underway, said the police officials.

Shahid Rind, a spokesman for the government of Balochistan, expressed sadness over the accident and stated the government prays for the injured people’s quick recovery and offers its condolences to the families of the deceased.

He promised that those impacted will get all the assistance necessary.
