LAHORE: In a shocking turn of events, Raza Muhammad Dar, a relative of the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan ٰIshaq Dar, has been involved in a rape case, according to sources.
According to the details, Lahore Police have received a complaint from a foreign woman alleging that the relative of a prominent Pakistani politician, along with several accomplices, kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and extorted two foreign nationals in Lahore.
Police recovered the women within two hours and arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the abduction.
The rescued women, nationals of the Netherlands and Venezuela, had travelled to Pakistan to meet their friends. The father of one of the victims, who was in the Netherlands, alerted Pakistani authorities by reporting the alleged kidnapping through the emergency helpline.
According to the complaint submitted to Police Station Defence C, the complainant, Stephanie Adriana Mau-Asum, a Dutch national, alleged that she and another foreign woman were invited to Pakistan by Muhammad Raza Dar after meeting him in Singapore.
The complainant alleged that on June 29, they were kidnapped by Raza Dar, his alleged “boss,” and three other men.
The complaint contains allegations of sexual assault, physical violence, threats to kill the victims, extortion, and demands for money. The complainant has requested legal action against all five accused.
Police have recorded the complaint under the relevant legal provisions and forwarded the matter to the Station House Officer (SHO) for further inquiry and legal action. According to the document, an FIR may be registered after verification of the allegations.
No official statement has yet been issued by Lahore Police regarding the allegations, and no arrests have been announced.
