Hajj 2025: Private Hajj Scheme booking deadline nears

PIA begins pre-Hajj 2026 operations for 55,000 pilgrims

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that only four days remain for pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj under the Private Hajj Scheme 2025 to complete their bookings.

According to the sources, the online Hajj portal will be closed on the night of October 17, after which no further bookings will be accepted.

This year, the government has allocated 60,000 seats for the Private Hajj Scheme. So far, bookings for over 44,000 pilgrims have been completed, while approximately 16,000 seats are still available.

Private Hajj operators began the booking process on September 19, during which around 23,000 new bookings were completed in just 25 days. In addition, 21,654 pilgrims who had registered last year will also perform Hajj this year.

Officials said private Hajj operators are currently managing a quota of 38,346 pilgrims, while their overall quota has been reduced from 90,000 to 60,000.

The ministry clarified that, as per the Saudi Ministry of Hajj’s directives, there is no possibility of extending the booking deadline.

All private operators have been instructed to ensure the timely completion of the booking process and to run awareness campaigns for the public.

In a written warning, the Ministry of Religious Affairs cautioned that failure to complete bookings within the prescribed time could affect the participation of pilgrims in the upcoming Hajj.
