High alert issued in Azad Kashmir amid security tensions

ISLAMABAD: (Rizwan Abbasi) The Azad Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Management Authority and Rescue 1122 have issued a high alert in view of the current tense security situation in the country.

According to the announcement issued, all types of leave of all officers and personnel of SDMA and Rescue 1122 have been canceled until further orders, while a complete ban on station leave has also been imposed. The authorities have directed that the vehicles, machinery and equipment available at all rescue stations should be kept active and usable at all times so that any emergency situation can be dealt with immediately.

Furthermore, the emergency control rooms and Rescue 1122 stations established in all districts of Azad Kashmir have been ordered to be kept active 24 hours a day so that immediate response can be ensured in the event of any unexpected incident. According to the authorities, the situation is being continuously monitored and the public has also been appealed to avoid unnecessary movement and cooperate with the relevant institutions.
