Imran Khan ends talks with establishment over crackdown against PTI

Imran Khan slams social media propaganda targeting Arab countries

RAWALPINDI: In a hard stance, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan has announced ending negotiations with the establishment amid the recent crackdown on party leadership.

In an informal talk with journalists in Adiala Jail today, the former prime minister said that the establishment has betrayed us, adding that he has directed his party leaders to cancel any kind of talks with the establishment immediately.

“I had allowed six party leaders to talk to the establishment and I have never interpreted talks with the establishment but we have been cheated,” Khan said. “The establishment had sent us a message to cancel the August 22 rally. The date of September 8 was also given to us by the establishment.”

The former premier also confirmed that the party will proceed with its planned rally in Lahore on September 21, regardless of any permissions or restrictions

Talking about last night’s crackdown, he said that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was abducted. “By arresting the chief minister of a province, you are increasing hatred,” Khan lamented.
