ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan bail in the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) settlement case on Wednesday.

A two-member bench, comprising IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq, and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, announced the reserved verdict after conducting the last proceedings on Tuesday.

PTI founder’s counsel Sardar Latif Khosa and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) special prosecutor Amjad Parvez appeared before the court in the last hearing.

Islamabad High Court (IHC) after hearing the case approved his bail against surety bonds of 10 lakh rupees.

An accountability court in Pakistan on February 27 indicted incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the 190 million pounds Al Qadir Trust corruption case.

As per details, an accountability court Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the case against Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, where the 72-year-old Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder is being held on multiple charges.

The judge, in the presence of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, read out the chargesheet. When asked about his plea, Khan denied the charges, stating, “I know what’s written in it.”

During the proceedings, when the judge asked the former prime minister if he had his teeth checked, Khan informed the court about his dental check-up delay. “I was told the doctor would visit the jail on Sunday. Now the jail administration is saying that the doctor would come next week,” he said.
