ISLAMABAD: The Indian army has reportedly made an alleged plan to stage fake encounters using Pakistani nationals held in unlawful custody, security sources said.
According to the reports, at least 56 Pakistanis are currently being held across various jails without due process by Indian intelligence agencies.
The Indian security forces may kill these detainees in orchestrated incidents in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Security sources alleged that the Indian agencies will portray them as militants crossing from Pakistan, thereby justifying cross-border aggression and supporting anti-Pakistan narratives.
The security sources further said that Indian media is expected to receive staged footage and images showing weapons supposedly recovered from the deceased.
In some cases, the detainees may be coerced into making anti-Pakistan statements or false confessions before being presented to the media.
ISPR’s director general has previously disclosed details of Pakistanis illegally detained in Indian prisons, reinforcing the credibility of these latest claims.
