ISLAMABAD: In a ground move, the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi acknowledged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) sanitary workers’ untiring efforts during Eid al-Adha and granted them a single salary bonus.
The minister thanked them for their hard work and recognized their day–and–night efforts in a special ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday. Minister Naqvi congratulated CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the deputy commissioner, assistant commissioners, and all field staff.
He declared a one basic salary bonus for all staff members on “Zero-Waste Operation“ duty, and Rs 15,000 per head for daily wage earners. 2,400 tonnes of animal offal and waste were lifted during the three Eid days from Islamabad’s urban and rural sectors.
The cleanliness operation was overseen by drone cameras, with 2,500 staff and 250 vehicles on duty. Citizens were greatly pleased with the Zero-Waste Operation, realizing CDA‘s work. Appreciation was also given to the citizens of Islamabad for fully cooperating with the field staff.
He stated that CDA, MCI, District Administration, Islamabad Police, Safe City, and Traffic Police worked day and night. All departments worked in coordination, putting public service before institutional boundaries.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the Safe City team for their successful monitoring. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa also spoke on the occasion and thanked the field teams for completing the task.
