Islamabad to implement new regulations for open-air spaces

Islamabad open-air places

ISLAMABAD: A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, focused on regulating and granting permissions for open-air spaces used by restaurants in the city.

The meeting concluded with the decision to create a detailed code of conduct for the use of these open-air spaces. DC Memon directed the Assistant Commissioners to measure all pertinent areas to ensure precise enforcement.

DC Memon emphasized that open areas will be allowed while considering the concerns of citizens. He warned that any encroachment under the pretense of open-air space would not be tolerated and that actions would be taken against restaurants that exceed their approved areas.

These measures are intended to balance the interests of restaurant businesses with public rights and convenience, ensuring a harmonious use of open spaces in Islamabad.
