CDA seals 60 buildings in Islamabad on violating bylaws

CDA stops urban properties sales through registrar office

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated action against illegal buildings in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

CDA sealed 60 buildings for violating its bylaws as the autority launched a crackdown operation on unauthorized constructions.

During the operation, the Building Control Wing and the Enforcement Directorate targeted specific areas, such as G-9/4 Sector and Gulberg Residencia.

According to details, 38 buildings were sealed due to non-conforming use in the G-9/4 Sector. CDA sealed these buildings for not being used in the approved ways.

However, the Building Control Wing of CDA sealed 22 under-construction buildings in Gulberg Residencia as the construction work was being carried out without the necessary permissions from the Capital Development Authority.

Despite notices issued to the owners of the buildings, the unauthorized construction activities continued, prompting the CDA to take action.
