ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General of Islamabad Police has suspended the Station House Officer (SHO) and the Moharrar of Sihala Police Station for making a TikTok video.
According to details, a TikTok video has surfaced in which the SHO is shown sitting on his office chair recording content for a social media platform.
Taking immediate notice of the video, the IG ordered disciplinary action, as a result of which both the officials were suspended.
A new SHO has been appointed in place of the suspended officer.
Earlier, a lady constable was suspended from service in Karachi for making a TikTok video in police uniform.
According to details, the TikTok video of Constable Maria Gill went viral on social media, after which DIG South Syed Asad Raza took notice of the video tape and ordered her suspension.
Maria, a female constable, is posted in Gizri Police Station in Karachi. The DIG South said that the police is a professional institution and officials cannot be allowed to engage in such ‘irresponsible’ behaviour.
She demanded that the authorities review the decision and provide justice to her.
