ISLAMABAD: The wife of Vietnam’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nguyen Tien Phong, has gone missing in Pakistan’s federal capital of Islamabad, sources said on Saturday.
Police sources say the ambassador’s wife was reported missing to police in a phone call to Helpline 15, adding that the Margala Police Station has started a search.
According to the Islamabad police spokesperson, after four hours of search, federal capital police traced the wife of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan with the help of the latest technology including safe city cameras.
Vietnamese Ambassador told police that his wife left their residence at 11 am and had not returned. Following the report, Islamabad police initiated the search operation, utilizing CCTV footage from Safe City cameras, and found his wife in Mega Zone in Islamabad’s F-9 park.

According to the police spokesperson, seven teams were formed to locate the ambassador’s wife with the help of Safe City cameras and cellular technology. The woman has been sent home along with her husband, police said.
