Lahore weather forecast: temperature to soar above 40 degrees today

LAHORE: After extended spells of rain thanks to climate change impact, most parts of the country are likely to have above 40 degrees Celsius temperatures in the next few days.

Rainfall last week in Lahore helped to break the scorching and brought pleasant weather.

Now when the weather is clear and sunny, a heatwave is beginning. According to meteorologists, Lahore will see a minimum temperature of about 26 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

There is 60 percent humidity and a five-kilometer-per-hour breeze, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

With an average value of 182, Lahore is the second most impacted city in terms of haze.

The city may see temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius or higher in the next few days, according to Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas.

Very hot weather will prevail in central and southern parts, while rain-wind/thunderstorms is likely in central districts of Balochistan at isolated places during evening and night, says the PMD.

Dadu remained the hottest place in the country on Tuesday, with temperature surging up to 47 degrees Celsius.
