RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s military media wing has rejected the “unfounded and misleading allegations” implicating Pakistan’s security forces in the incident in North Waziristan District on May 19, which resulted in several civilian casualties.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the claims are “entirely baseless and are part of a coordinated disinformation campaign” aimed at discrediting the security forces’ steadfast efforts in the ongoing counterterrorism operations.
Earlier on May 19, 2025, a tragic incident happened in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District, and after that, certain quarters “falsely implicated Pakistan’s security forces” in the attack, the ISPR said.
The military confirmed that a comprehensive investigation was promptly initiated in response to these accusations.
“Initial findings have established that this heinous act has been orchestrated and executed by Indian sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij,” the ISPR statement stated.
The ISPR added that these elements have been acting at the behest of their Indian Masters and “continue to exploit civilian areas and vulnerable populations” as shields to conduct their reprehensible acts of terrorism.
“Such tactics aim to unsuccessfully sow discord between the local population and the security forces, who together remain resolute to uproot the menace of terrorism,” it added.
The security forces reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators of this inhuman act are brought to justice, the statement read.
