KARACHI: Pakistan Customs has recovered smuggled imported items worth millions in coordinated action with the Rangers, according to media reports.
The raid was conducted on the intelligence tip in the Yousaf Goth terminal godowns, according to the spokesperson of Customs, Irfan Ali.
The imported items, which were recovered, include Iranian dry milk, imported clothes, tiles, rockery, and spare parts.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged, and the items were shifted to custom godowns via 21 trucks, as per the spokesperson.
According to Irfan Ali, the estimate of the imported items after scrutiny is yet to be finalized.
Earlier, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting six operations across the country, recovered as many as 232.478 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 41 million and arrested four suspects, including a woman, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Tuesday.
