Pakistan Engineering Council announces freelancing program

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has created a new program that will provide international freelancing opportunities to Pakistani engineers through training programs that will serve 5000 engineers.

The Global Engineering Freelance Initiative provides engineers with online training that teaches them how to work on international freelancing platforms.

The program will teach participants how to create effective portfolios, which will help them find their initial freelance assignments. The engineering industry is now developing toward remote work through digital technologies, according to PEC Chairman Engineer Wasim Nazir.

Young engineers will find new global market opportunities through this initiative, according to his statement. The program will increase engineering services exports while creating foreign currency earnings for the nation.

Engineers who have PEC membership can register for the online course, which will begin in the third week of April. The chairman stated that this initiative will help Pakistan achieve its goal of becoming part of the worldwide digital economy.
