ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has also introduced online visas for citizens of 192 countries, while visa on arrival for citizens of 120 countries.
According to the details, this announcement was made by Federal Minister for Investment Board Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh while addressing the Sustainable Tourism Forum and Expo, which was organized in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that under the new digital system, foreign citizens can apply for Pakistan visas online, now there is no need to visit any embassies, this process is not only fast and easy but also promotes transparency.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh added that the reforms will boost international tourism and make it easier for foreign visitors to enjoy Pakistan’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
This online visa program is part of Pakistan’s broader economic and tourism reform agenda, which includes investment opportunities and ease of doing business. The minister said that tourism plays a significant role in creating jobs, promoting commercial activities, and increasing GDP.
