ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has offered the US zero-tariff bilateral trade on selected items, in response to the US President’s request to increase trade with Pakistan, according to media reports.
Pakistan has proposed that Pakistan wants to sign a bilateral agreement with zero tariffs on selected tariff lines based on mutual interests, as per media reports.
Pakistan wants to expand bilateral trade with the US in many areas, This offer was made by the US President after the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India. The US President said that he would do ‘a lot of trade’ with both countries.
It should be noted that US President Donald Trump had imposed Indian retaliatory tariffs on several countries last month, after which there was chaos in stock markets around the world.
Later, President Trump announced a 90-day break in retaliatory tariffs and said that many countries were willing to negotiate with the US.
