Pakistan to witness year’s final supermoon tonight

Supermoon 2025: When & Where to watch tonight in Pakistan

KARACHI: Pakistan is set to witness this year’s last supermoon which will occur tonight, according to Dr. Javed Iqbal, an eminent astronomer.

This celestial attraction will be seen at 2:28 AM PST, providing sky lovers a rare chance to enjoy the marvelous shape of the moon. For the time being, the moon will be over 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than it normally is, Dr. Iqbal added.

This phenomenon occurs because the moon is closer to Earth, as the two bodies will be as close as 360,378 kilometers, which is significantly less than their average distance of 384,400 kilometers while in orbit.

In this year as well, right on August 20, another supermoon occurred in Pakistan and its effect could be seen throughout the country. The Blue Supermoon was a time frame of its own considering that it is a phenomenon that happens only once in ten years, two moons of supermoon and a blue moon occur.

This win by the people was well deserved considering how the glowing moon lit the entire dark sky. With the New Year’s Eve supermoon around the corner, all the sky watchers are on their toes awaiting this beautiful phenomenon with Custom.

This will certainly be a climactic ending in the celestial timeline of the year being able to vividly view the magnificence of the moon.
