DUBAI: Anum Khan, a Pakistani Police Officer serving in the Punjab police, has won the prestigious ‘Excellence in Criminal Investigation’ award at the 2025 World Police Summit Awards, held in Dubai.
The worldwide award recognizes her outstanding investigative work and professional leadership, elevating Pakistan’s law enforcement to the global arena.
The prize was handed out in a magnificent event organized by Dubai Police, which was attended by police chiefs and law enforcement officials from more than 90 different countries.
Anum Khan received this honor after spearheading and concluding two high-profile murder cases in Pakistan’s Punjab region. In the first case, she oversaw an inquiry into the terrible death of 12-year-old domestic servant Ayesha Bibi, who was brutally killed.
Under her leadership, the Sargodha Police nabbed the suspects within 72 hours, winning great praise from the public and government authorities, including the Punjab Chief Minister.
In another notable case, she oversaw the immediate arrest of suspects in the murder of a young man called Mohsin, ensuring justice within 24 hours.
Both investigations revealed not only her mastery of investigative processes but also her dedication to prompt and fair justice. Her leadership in these situations had already garnered her official acclaim and recognition.
The World Police Summit, organized by the UAE government, is one of the most renowned global events for recognizing achievement in police.
Anum Khan was picked from over 900 entries worldwide, demonstrating the importance of her work.
