ISLAMABAD: National airline PIA has announced the resumption of flights to the UK after five years.
According to a PIA spokesperson, flights to the UK are being resumed from tomorrow. The first flight will depart from Islamabad for Manchester, for which all arrangements have been completed at the Islamabad International Airport.
According to sources, a heavy portrait has also been displayed at the airport as a representation of the city of Manchester.
A special ceremony will be held at the Islamabad Airport tomorrow regarding the resumption of flights to the UK, in which Defense Minister Khawaja Asif will attend as the special guest.
According to PIA, the resumption of operations to the UK will not only facilitate passengers but will also help restore the international reputation of the national airline.
