PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday departed for Jeddah on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

During the visit, PM Shehbaz, accompanied by a high-level delegation, will hold a special meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.

In a press release, a foreign office spokesperson said that during his visit, both sides will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and regional peace and security.

The Prime Minister will also express gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its constructive role in de-escalating the recent Pakistan-India conflict.

This visit underscores the deep-rooted, time-tested ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, anchored in shared faith, mutual respect, and strategic partnership, the statement added.

Furthermore, the visit reaffirms the leadership’s commitment to deepening economic and diplomatic engagement, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s development priorities.

“Prime Minister Sharif’s visit is expected to further solidify Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations and open new avenues for multifaceted collaboration.”
